The figures below come directly from the test record, with the almond result shown separately because the settings did not match.
Real food on a real counter
A specification sheet can tell you what a vacuum sealer is designed to do. A kitchen counter shows how it behaves when bags vary slightly, food contains moisture and the next batch is already waiting. On April 23, 2024, an independent kitchen team tested the Yumyth VS6609 vacuum sealer alongside a FoodSaver FM2900 vacuum sealer using everyday foods.
This was a practical comparison, not a laboratory certification. Both machines completed the vacuum-and-seal tasks. In the timed runs that used comparable settings, the VS6609 finished sooner each time.
How the tester kept the comparison fair
Both food vacuum sealer machine were confirmed to be in good working order. The tester cut similar-size vacuum bags, used the same vacuum bag type for each matched run, prepared roughly equal portions of the same food and chose comparable functions where the control panels allowed it. Because the portions were not weighed, the results are best read as a controlled kitchen check rather than a precision bench test.
The test menu covered a seal-only cycle, moist chicken tenderloins, a blueberry muffin, fresh blueberries and almonds. The tester also ran the vacuum sealer machine of VS6609 through 10 consecutive seals without a cooling pause.
Résultats: five comparable runs, five faster finishes
The vacuum sealer machine of VS6609 finished sooner in all five directly comparable observations. The biggest gap came in the first moist-chicken run; the closest result was the blueberry pulse test. Almonds are included for completeness, but that run used different settings and should not be treated as a head-to-head result.
| Test | Yumyth VS6609 | FoodSaver FM2900 | Observed difference |
| Seal only | 9 sec | 19 sec | 10 sec shorter |
| Chicken tenderloins, humide (test 1) | 22-23 sec | 36-37 sec | 13-15 sec shorter |
| Chicken tenderloins, humide (test 2) | 21 sec | 28-30 sec | 7-9 sec shorter |
| Blueberry muffin, doux/pouls | 20 sec | 34 sec | 14 sec shorter |
| Myrtilles, Impulsion | 20 sec | 24 sec | 4 sec shorter |
| Amandes* | 20 sec, sec | 28 sec, Impulsion | Directional only* |
*The almond run used different modes, so it is directional rather than a like-for-like comparison.
Seal only: 9 seconds vs. 19 seconds
In the seal-only check, the vacuum sealer of VS6609 completed the cycle in 9 seconds. The FoodSaver vacuum sealer of FM2900 took 19 seconds - a 10-second difference, or roughly 53% less time in this single run.
That gap matters when one bag becomes ten. Whether someone is portioning a bulk grocery purchase, packing freezer meals or organizing ingredients, a shorter seal-only cycle keeps the job moving.

In the seal-only run, the VS6609 finished in 9 seconds and the FM2900 in 19 seconds.
Nourriture humide: the lead held
Chicken tenderloins raised the difficulty because moisture near the bag opening can interfere with air removal and sealing. In the first moist-mode run, the vacuum sealer machine of VS6609 took 22-23 seconds, compared with 36-37 seconds for the FoodSaver vacuum sealer machine of FM2900. A second run with Kirkland Signature bags came in at 21 seconds for the VS6609 and 28-30 seconds for the FM2900.
Both food vacuum sealers produced vacuumed bags. The test did not include a measured leak check, a long-term freezer study or a seal-strength pull test, so the fair conclusion is about cycle time - not a promise that either seal will always last longer.

Across two moist-food runs, the VS6609 completed the cycle 7-15 seconds sooner.
Contrôle des impulsions: quicker without crushing delicate foods
Strong suction is useful for household vacuum sealer, but delicate food also needs control. Using gentle or pulse mode, the VS6609 vacuum sealer sealed a blueberry muffin in 20 seconds; the FM2900 vacuum sealer took 34 seconds. With fresh blueberries, the results were closer at 20 seconds and 24 seconds.
Pulse control lets the user watch the bag and stop before soft food is flattened. In these runs, the VS6609 vacuum sealer combined that hands-on control with a shorter cycle. Texture and appearance after storage were not scored.

Food-trial cycle times. The almond modes differed, so that result is directional only.
Why the almond result stays separate
The almond bags took 20 seconds on the VS6609 vacuum sealer and 28 seconds on the FM2900 vacuum sealer, but the notes list dry mode for the VS6609 vacuum sealer and pulse mode for the FoodSaver vacuum sealer. Since mode selection changes cycle behavior, the result is useful context, not a direct performance ranking.
Keeping that distinction visible makes the comparison more useful: buyers can see the full record without treating mismatched settings as equivalent.
10 seals in a row, with no heat issue observed
The tester completed 10 consecutive seals on the VS6609 vacuum sealer without waiting for the unit to cool. No overheating or operating problem was noted during those cycles. That is encouraging for batch-style home use, although it is not a continuous-duty rating or a substitute for formal endurance testing.

The VS6609 completed 10 consecutive seals without a cooling pause or observed heat issue.
More than a fast cycle
The VS6609 vacuum sealer combines a compact countertop footprint with a stainless-steel lid, built-in bag cutter and roll storage, digital progress display, Réglages sec/humide/super-humide, normal and gentle pressure options, pulse/stop control, seal-only and vacuum-only functions, and an accessory port for compatible containers or valve bags.
The tester also described the VS6609 vacuum sealer as noticeably quieter than the FM2900vacuum sealer and successfully used both FoodSaver and Kirkland Signature vacuum bags. Those points are useful field observations, but they were not verified with a decibel meter or a broad bag-compatibility program.
What the test means for buyers
One kitchen test cannot crown a universal winner. It can, cependant, show whether a product belongs in the conversation. Tiens, the Yumyth VS6609 vacuum sealer performed in the same class as an established FoodSaver vacuum sealer and finished faster in each of the five matched trials. It also completed 10 back-to-back seals without an observed heat-related interruption.
Pour les propriétaires de marques, distributors and retail buyers, the VS6609 offers a credible mix of speed, everyday control and built-in bag management. A sourcing decision should still include a structured sample test with your own bags, Aliments, voltage requirements and acceptance criteria.
